An inverted spout pouch is a type of flexible packaging where the spout is located at the bottom of the pouch when it’s in its standing position. This is the opposite of a standard spout pouch, where the spout is on the top.
- Standing Position: The pouch stands on its cap and the flat, gusseted base. The product settles in the main body of the pouch above the spout.
- In-Use Position: To dispense, the user simply picks up the pouch, flips it upside down (or tilts it), and opens the cap. Gravity causes the product to flow directly toward the spout.
- Dispensing: The user squeezes the pouch to control the flow of the product. When released, the product remains at the spout, ready for the next use without the need to shake or tilt the pouch again.
